Abstract
Prolin ima ključnu ulogu u odgovoru biljaka na različite čimbenike abiotičkog stresa. Kopriva (Urtica dioica L.), neven (Calendula officinalis L.) i odoljen (Valeriana officinalis L.) su ljekovite biljke koje su tijekom životnog ciklusa izložene raznim uzročnicima stresa. Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati utjecaj niske temperature (10°C) na sadržaj prolina izabranih ljekovitih vrsta. Iz dobivenih rezultata može se zaključiti da je izlaganje niskoj temperaturi uzrokovalo promjene u sadržaju prolina kod sve tri vrste. Drugim riječima, temperatura je jedan od faktora koji može utjecati na akumulaciju prolina u biljkama. Sadržaj prolina je varirao ovisno o vrsti i dužini izlaganja stresu.
Abstract (english)
Proline plays a crucial role in plant response to a wide range of abiotic stressors. Nettle (Urtica dioica L.), calendula (Calendula officinalis L.) and valerian (Valeriana officinalis L.) are medicinal plants that are exposed to various stressors throughout their life cycle. The aim of this paper was to investigate the impact of low temperature (10°C) on the proline content of selected medicinal species. The results obtained indicate that exposure to low temperature led to changes in the proline content in all three species. Namely, temperature is one of the factors that can influence proline accumulation in plants. Proline content varied depending on the species and the length of exposure to stress.
