Abstract
Đurđevački pijesci predstavljaju najveće i najviše naslage pijeska u kontinentalnom dijelu Hrvatske. Na Đurđevačkim pijescima pojavljuju se karaksteristične psamofitske vrste, no u velikom broju pojavljuju se i vrste iz porodica Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Asteraceae i drugih. 53 biljne vrste iz ovih porodica sadrže velike količine glikozida, saponina, eteričnih ulja i drugih ljekovitih tvari. Biljke se mogu koristiti za liječenje različitih bolesti probavnog, dišnog, krvožilnog sustava. S obzirom na jedinstvenost ovog staništa i veliku bioraznolikost od velike je važnosti očuvati ovo područje.
Abstract (english)
Đurđevački pijesci represents the largest sand deposits in the continental part of Croatia. The area is characterized by a variety of psammophytic species, as well as by different taxa from Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Asteracea and other plant families. Among them, 53 plant taxa contain a large amount of glycosides, saponins, essential oils and other medicinal substances and can be used for the treatment of various diseases. The Djurdjevac Sands are unique habitat rich in valuable plants, therefore it is of great importance to preserve this area.
