Research was conducted on Lake Jošava (Đakovo) on pelagic (P1-P4) and littoral (L1-L4) stations during three sampling periods in 2018. before and after restocking of lake with common carp (Cyprinus carpio). The goal of the study was to determine whether the spring restocking of lake with common carp affects the composition of the microcrustacean community in different localities within the lake. Samples for hydrobiological analysis of water were colected in the area of pelagic and littoral parts depending on restocking. One-way ANOVA determined the significance in physicochemical parameters, abundance and biomass, and the Pearson ́s correlation coefficient was used to determine significant interactions between biotic and abiotic parameters. Depth, transparency, concentration of total phosphorus and biomass differed significantly at stations depending on restocking. Before and after restocking, the qualitative composition of the species did not change significantly. The species Chydorus ovalis was the most common among cladocerans, along the genus Bosmina. Cyclopoid copepods were rarely present, but with a major part in biomass at the second pelagic site (P2) two weeks after restocking. The lowest abundance of microcrustaceans was determined two weeks after restocking, and the highest one month after restocking. Biomass increased according to sampling dates. One month after restocking, the carp's predatory pressure on zooplankton community weakens at it transition to a benthic diet.
