Abstract
Kalcijevi fosfati (CaP) teško su topljive soli fosfatne kiseline i vrsta su materijala od posebnog značaja za ljudska bića. β-trikalcijev fosfat (β-TCP) jedan je od najkorištenijih sintetskih koštanih implant materijala. Za uspješnu ugradnju implantata od velike je važnosti njihova interakcija s proteinima iz seruma, pogotovo albuminom koji se gotovo odmah nakon implantacije adsorbira na površinu implantata. Stoga je za uspješnu primjenu implantata važno poznavati kinetiku adsorpcije albumina. Većina studija o kinetici adsorpcije provedena je pri različitim eksperimentalnim uvjetima, što otežava usporedbu takvih procesa za različite materijale. U ovom radu promatrao se utjecaj adsorpcije albumina iz goveđeg seruma na sastav β-TCP koji je određen infracrvenom spektroskopijom (FTIR) i difrakcijom rendgenskih zraka na prahu (PXRD). Parametri kinetike adsorpcije odredili su se analizom eksperimentalnih podataka pomoću modela pseudo-prvog i pseudo-drugog reda te modela unutarčestične difuzije, a UV-Vis titracijama određeni su termodinamički parametri procesa adsorpcije BSA na β-TCP.
Abstract (english)
Calcium phosphates (CaP) are poorly soluble phosphoric acid salts and a particularly important substance for humans. β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) is one of the most commonly used synthetic bone implant materials. For the successful application of implants, their interaction with serum proteins, especially albumin, which is adsorbed almost immediately after implantation, is of great importance. Therefore, it is important to know the kinetics of albumin adsorption. Most studies on adsorption kinetics have been performed under different experimental conditions, which makes it difficult to compare such processes for different materials. In this work, the influence of albumin adsorption on the composition and morphology of β-TCP was determined by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). The parameters of adsorption kinetics were determined by the pseudo-first and pseudo-second order model and the intraparticle diffusion model, while UV-Vis titrations were used to determine the thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption process of BSA on β-TCP.
