Abstract
Ova studija prikazala je faunističku raznolikost braničevki (Diptera: Simulidae) na području županjske Posavine. Jedinke porodice Simuliidae imaju važnu ulogu u vodeno prehrambenom lancu te u razgradnji organskih tvari, a također je to porodica agresivnih ektoparazita. Abiotički i biotički čimbenici određuju spektar vrsta braničevki pa time i bioraznolikost unutar svakog staništa.U ovom istraživanju determinirane su dvije vrste braničevki: Simulium (Wilhelmia)balcanicum Enderlein, 1924 i Simulium (Boophthora) erythrocephalum De Geer, 1776. Vrsta Simulium (Wilhelmia) balcanicum Enderlein, 1924 zabilježena je u većem broju. Obje su vrste od javnozdravstvenog značenja za ljude.
Abstract (english)
The present study assessed the faunistic diversity of a black flies (Simuliidae).Simuliidae is a group that has important functions in the aquatic food chain and in the breakdown of organic substances, and it is also a group of aggressive ectoparasites. Abioticand biotic factors determine the species spectrum of black flies and therefore also the biodiversity within each habitat.In this research were found two species Simulium (Wilhelmia) balcanicum Enderlein, 1924 and Simulium (Boophthora) erythrocephalum De Geer, 1776. The species Simulium(Wilhelmia) balcanicum Enderlein, 1924 is found in larger number. Both black flies speciesare medically very important.
