Abstract
Medvjeđi luk ili Allium ursinum L. je biljka s jakim alelopatskim potencijalom koja inhibira rast i klijanje obližnjih biljaka otpuštanjem alelokemikalija. Alelokemikalije koje medvjeđem luku daju ekološku prednost u okolišu uključuju sumporne spojeve, fenole i steroidne glikozide. Ovi spojevi imaju inhibirajući učinak na različite biljne vrste. Sposobnost medvjeđeg luka da suzbija nakupljanje organske tvari kod ciljnih biljaka, uključujući pšenicu, amarant i zelenu salatu, dokazana je brojnim... More studijama. Tlo u kojem raste medvjeđi luk također ima inhibitorni učinak zbog brojnih mehanizama putem kojih se oslobađaju alelokemikalije. Zbog svojih alelopatskih svojstava, medvjeđi luk se smatra jednim od važnijih istraživačkih modela u kontroli korova. Osim u poljoprivredi, potencijalnu korist ima i u medicini i u farmaciji. Posjeduje značajna antioksidacijska, spazmolitička i hipotenzivna djelovanja. Razumijevanje alelopatskog potencijala ove vrste može pridonijeti razvoju tehnika za unaprjeđenje poljoprivrede, medicine i farmacije. Less
Abstract (english)
Wild garlic, or Allium ursinum L., is a plant with strong allelopathic potential that inhibits the growth and germination of nearby plants by releasing allelochemicals. Sulfur compounds, phenols, and steroid glycosides are some allelochemicals enabling wild garlic's ecological advantage. These compounds have an inhibitory effect on various plant species. The ability of wild garlic to suppress organic matter accumulation in target plants, including wheat, amaranth, and lettuce, has been... More demonstrated in numerous studies. The soil where wild garlic grows also has an inhibitory effect due to the multiple mechanisms by which allelochemicals are released. Due to its allelopathic properties, wild garlic is considered one of the most crucial research models in weed control. In addition to agriculture, it has potential benefits in medicine and pharmacy with known significant antioxidant, spasmolytic, and hypotensive effects. Understanding the allelopathic potential of this plant can contribute to developing techniques to improve agriculture, medicine, and pharmacy. Less
