Abstract
Spojevi piridoksin, piridoksal, piridoksamin i njihovi 5´-fosfati čine skupinu vitamina B6. Aktivni endogeni metaboliti vitamina B6, piridoksal fosfata i piridoksamin fosfata najvažniji su koenzimi koji su uključeni u razne biokemijske reakcije, uključujući metabolizam aminokiselina, ugljikohidrata, masnih kiselina, lipida, sintezu nukleinskih kiseline, hemoglobina, sintezu serotonina, dopamina, noradrenalin i gama-aminomaslačna kiselina (GABA) neurotransmitera. Sintetizirati ga mogu isključivo mikroorganizmi i biljke dok ga ljudi i životinje unose prehranom. Prva potpuna sinteza vitamina B6 izvedena je kondenzacijom 1- etoksipentan-2,4-diona i cijanacetamida. Poznato je nekoliko derivata vitamina B6 koji su prisutni u prirodi, najpoznatiji među njima je ginkotoksin. Iznimna važnost za staničnu aktivnost postavlja vitamin B6 u red biološki privilegiranih molekula. S tim u vezi bilo je za očekivati da kemičari usmjere svoje napore na razvoj različitih strukturnih preinaka vitamina B6 i ispitivanje njihove aktivnosti.
Abstract (english)
The compounds pyridoxine, pyridoxal, pyridoxamine and their 5´-phosphates form a group of vitamin B6.The active endogenous metabolites of vitamin B6, pyridoxal phosphate, and pyridoxamine phosphate are the most important coenzymes involved in a variety of biochemical reactions, including the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates, fatty acids, lipids, nucleic acid synthesis, hemoglobin, dopamine serotonin synthesis, and serotonin synthesis. (GABA) neurotransmitter. It can only be synthesized by microorganisms and plants while humans and animals ingest it through their diet. The first complete synthesis of vitamin B6 was performed by condensation of 1-ethoxypentane-2,4-dione and cyanocetamide. Several derivatives of vitamin B6 are known to be present in nature, the most famous among them being ginkgotoxin. Extreme importance for cellular activity places vitamin B6 among biologically privileged molecules. In this regard, chemists were expected to focus their efforts on developing various structural modifications of vitamin B6 and examining their activity.
