Abstract
Alge i njihovi ekstrakti sve se više koriste u kozmetičkoj industriji zbog velikog sadržaja bioaktivnih tvari, lake genetske manipulacije i mogućnosti uzgoja u različitim uvjetima. U radu su opisani karakteristični spojevi algalnih ekstrakata i njihova svojstva. Istaknute su najvažnije vrste alga čiji se pripravci koriste u kozmetičkim i kozmeceutičkim proizvodima za oblikovanje tijela, posvjetljivanje kože i ujednačavanje tena, čišćenje kože, zaštitu od UV zračenja te za pomlađivanje kože.
Abstract (english)
Algae and their extracts are increasingly used in cosmetics industry due to high content of bioactive substances, easy genetic manipulation and the possibility of culturing in various conditions. This work describes the characteristic compounds found in algal exstracts and their properties. The most important algal species whose preparations are used in cosmetics and cosmeceuticals as slimming agents, skin brighteners and unifiers, in skin cleansing, UV protection and anti-age formulations are highlighted.
