Abstract
Slavonsko gorje smješteno je u kontinentalnom dijelu Republike Hrvatske., na južnom rubu Panonske nizine. Brojne geološke, hidrološke, reljefne, klimatske i vegetacijske odlike Slavonskog gorja stvaraju povoljno životno okružje za različite vrste vodozemaca i gmazova. Tome pridonosi i mala naseljenost ovoga kraja kao i nepristupačnost pojedinih dijelova. Herpetofaunu ovoga područja čine 22 vrste. Od 12 vrsta vodozemaca, tri vrste pripadaju redu repaša, a redu bezrepaca pripada devet vrsta. Gmazovi su zastupljeni s ukupno 10 vrsta, među kojima je pet vrsta zmija i pet vrsta guštera. U ovom radu navedene su i opisane vrste vodozemaca i gmazova koje nastanjuju Slavonsko gorje kao i lokaliteti na kojima su te vrste zabilježene.
Abstract (english)
The Slavonian mountains are situated in a continental part of Republic of Croatia, on the south edge of Pannonian valley. Geology, hydrology, orography, climate and vegetation, together with low human population and inaccessibility of Slavonian mountains create favourable environmant for various amphibian and reptile species. Herpetofauna of this area contains a total of 22 species. There are 12 species of amphibians and three species belong to order Urodela and order Anura contains nine different species. Slavonian mountains are habitat of nine reptile species. Reptiles are divided into two separate groups: five are in Serpentes (snakes) infraorder, and five are infraorder Sauria (lizards). This thesis contains descriptions and localities of mentioned species and localities where they have been observed.
